The G3TXQ Broadband Hexbeam Kit....... by Ant MW0JZE

The G3TXQ Broadband Hexbeam is now available in kit form from Ant MW0JZE.

Hex

This compact 6 band antenna design is becoming very popular over the past year or so. Anthony MW0JZE is now producing the G3TXQ broadband version for sale as a complete plug and play kit.

This requires no knowledge of the antenna to assemble it and I can speak from experience as I actually assembled one of his kits on Ramsey island EU-124 during the 2009 IOTA weekend and if i can do it, anyone can!

The Antenna works extremely well and is comparible with a beam antenna. From my point of view the benefits are not only in performance but also, assembly time, very stable in windy conditions (compared with a 2 ele SteppIR hi) and its footprint is so small it can be accomodated in the smallest of gardens.

The Kit includes:-

NO CUTTING OR MEASURING REQUIRED

Centre-post with all coax housed inside for max waterproofing

Hub made from 6mm alloy plate and flange to fit 48mm stub mast

Six three piece fiberglass spreaders with support cords and element fixings fitted

Six wire elements ready cut with spacers fitted

Ant has also informed me that a new website is under construction for this item and the URL is:-

.....he hopes to have the site up and running in early 2010.....good luck with the project Ant!

Thanks, Charles........
